Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept walk-ins?

Yes! Just come up to the shop and if I am available I’ll get ya taken care of! If I am busy we can always set up an appointment for a later time!

How do I schedule an appointment?

Please head over to Get Tattooed and select an option to get the process started. If your tattoo does not fit into one of the categories available, or you’re not sure what to choose, please refer to the guide below.

Which Appointment type should I choose?

This will vary greatly depending on what you’re wanting done. Here is a general guide to help you:

Half Day Session (2.5 hrs): This will be most tattoos that aren’t ongoing projects like sleeves and back pieces. If your design will fit within the dimensions of a standard 8.5x11 sheet of paper, or close to that, this is the option for you.

Full Day Session (5 hrs): Book this option for any multi session pieces. This means sleeves, back pieces, etc. Sometimes this option will be required for a full color portrait or larger sized portrait as well. Use your best judgement!

What do you charge?

There are only 2 available options for pricing at the moment for appointments but it all depends on the tattoo, complexity of the design and how long it will take. Our shop minimum for walk-ins is $100.

Do you take deposits?

All tattoo appointments will require a non-refundable, booking fee of $100.

How far out are you booked?

I do not book more than a month to 2 months in advance. Weekends tend to fill up quickly but I usually have some availability during the week. When you book through the website, my calendar will be available for you to see.

When can I come in for a consultation?

If you complete the booking form completely, thoroughly and follow the directions, a consultation should not be necessary and I should have everything I need to design your tattoo. If you feel you absolutely need a consultation, you may e-mail me to set that up or just come into the shop during business hours.

Does it hurt?

Yes. Tattoos hurt. But this pain is far from unbearable and is temporary. Choose your tattoo based on where you want it forever, not how much it may or may not hurt. Make sure you check out the Preparation page for more information on how to make your tattoo experience as smooth as possible!

Will you tattoo my image/idea/tattoo?

Tattoos are a collaboration. I will always be willing to work with any ideas, images or other tattoos you bring in as reference. I will not, however, copy a tattoo someone else has done exactly. Tattoos should be unique to their owner, so lets give you something original, that’s yours and only yours, forever.

Why did you turn down my tattoo/idea?

Not all images are made to be tattooed. Some things work as a tattoo and some just don’t due to the nature of the skin, pigments and other factors involved in the tattoo process. In choosing me as your artist, it’s assumed that you have looked at my work and trust that I will create something you will love.

I reserve the right to turn down projects I feel do not contribute to my vision or feel comfortable executing. All of this is with the client’s best interest in mind. If I feel another artist is better suited for your project, I will refer you to them.

Do you do cover-ups?

While I have done a fair share of cover-ups, I am starting to shy away from them. In order to do these properly, it takes a big commitment that most people aren’t willing to do. If you’re committed and it’s something I feel we can accomplish successfully, please come into the studio for a free consultation. I require an in person consult for all cover ups.

Will you fix my old tattoo?

More than likely, not. I have come to a point in my career where I have no interest in touching another artist's work and want to focus on my own artwork.

Why is it so expensive?

Tattoos are a luxury item. Nobody NEEDS a tattoo. It’s just the same as purchasing designer clothes, jewelry and other luxury items. I will not negotiate price with anyone. I am providing a service and I know what that service is worth. This includes supply costs, time and labor it takes to create your design as well as the years and years I have already put into being an artist that allows me to create work at a high level and at an efficient pace.

Where do you work?

I work at Sleepy Hollow tattoos in Fort Worth, TX.
